1/43 This is a 1/43 scale handmade miniature model of the legendary "CONRERO SPYDER ALFA ROMEO (number 40)," entered in the 1960 24 Hours of Le Mans by "SQUADRA CONRERO," a prestigious Alfa Romeo tuner whose name is etched in racing history.
It faithfully reproduces the extremely beautiful and flowing barchetta body, crafted by master Giovanni Michelotti. Based on the Giulietta's mechanics, it features Conrero's unique tuning, making it an extremely niche specification indispensable to the history of competition Alfa Romeos.
*It reproduces the exact specifications of the car that retired from the 1960 Le Mans race at the 11th hour due to transmission trouble. The history is also inscribed on the label of the base.
This is a minor yet important racer that you would rarely see in mass-produced diecast models. The solid proportions, utilizing resin and white metal, characteristic of Italian garage kits, and the unique deep red color are exceptional. The craftsmanship is evident in every detail, from the "SQUADRA CONRERO" logo on the fender and the Alfa Romeo emblem to the delicate windshield.
