The 348 series followed in the footsteps of the 308 and 328 series, which were huge hits from the late 1970s through the '80s. While the V8 unit was still mid-mounted, the mounting method changed from horizontal to vertical. The gearbox was also horizontal, inherited from F1 cars.
The Pininfarina-designed form is a little simpler than its predecessor, the 328, but it's still full of Ferrari charm. The roaring mid-mounted V8 is captivating...it's so enviable.
Now, we're featuring the French catalog for the later models, the GTB/GTS. Twenty years have passed since then, and this book conveys the 348 as it was back then, with a vintage feel. |
