In the past, the Ferrari emblem on the nose of Scuderia Ferrari F1 cars was a small cloisonné piece; however, perhaps to save weight, it was sometimes replaced by a sticker or varied depending on the specific car. This particular item is an emblem designed to be recessed into the bodywork of the F2005—the car driven by Michael Schumacher. Because it sits flush with the surface, it looks like a sticker at a quick glance, but upon closer inspection, you can see it is actually an inset emblem.
Consequently, unlike emblems found on standard GT cars, the back is smooth and lacks any mounting bolts.
This is a rare F1 cloisonné emblem—an excellent addition to any collection. |
