1/43 pinko automodelli
This is the legendary competition GT car that Abarth unleashed in the 1960s—in partnership with France's Simca—to completely dominate the small-displacement racing class.
It was a beast of a machine, boasting a top speed exceeding 230 km/h, powered by a rear-mounted 1,298cc water-cooled inline-four DOHC "Tipo 230" twin-cam engine.
The model faithfully reproduces the engine hood propped open for heat dissipation—a signature Abarth racing configuration. The detailing of the 1,300cc twin-cam unit and exhaust system visible through the gap is exquisite, sure to delight the most discerning enthusiasts. It also captures the beautiful, flowing, and rounded lines of the early-model rear end, prior to the later adoption of the *Coda Tronca* (truncated tail) design.
From the "ABARTH SIMCA 1300" lettering on the nose and the Abarth scorpion emblem to the lights, wipers, and side visors, the model possesses the rich, authentic character unique to limited-production, handmade replicas. |
