87 Pages/Italian Franco Angelini was an Alfa Romeo race car tuner, mechanic team owner and one of the greatest tuners of Alfa Romeo engine tuning.
His workshop in Rome's Circonvallazione Gianicolense was even considered a sanctuary where he listened to the symphony of engines pushed to the limits of their endurance in a special room called the Test Room. He tuned various Alfa Romeo models, including the famous white and red Alfa Romeo GTA, 1900, Giulietta, GTA, GTA Junior, GTAm, TZ1 and TZ2 race cars tuned in his workshop.
Autodelta - the Alfa Romeo works team respected and feared Angelini. He was considered the best private tuner, as Angelini's cars were often faster than the factory cars. In fact, Alfa Romeo offered Angelini to enter his cars under the Autodelta flag, but Franco Angelini is best known for turning down the offer.
This little book by Giorgio Marzola aims to commemorate the mastery of this great engineer who won everything there was to win, from the Italian Championship to the World Championship, with cars and engines exclusively from Alfa Romeo.
