MOTO GUZZI. The story begins with one man. His name is Carlo Guzzi. He is called up to the Italian Army at the outbreak of World War I. Soon after, he is assigned to the newly established Italian Air Force and meets two young men, Giovanni Rabelli and Giorgio Parodi. The three men, who dreamed of making motorcycles, talk to each other and vow to start a motorcycle manufacturer after the war. Although Giovanni died in an accident during a test flight of a fighter plane, MOTO GUZZI's first commercially available vehicle, the 8HP Normale, was born in 1921. Time has passed and it is now 2021. Its history is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
This is a memorial stamp set released in limited quantities by Poste Italiane, the Italian post office, to commemorate the 100th anniversary in 2021.
This is a set of four items: a stamp, a postmarked postcard, an envelope, and a stamp card.
This is a very valuable commemorative item for the 100th anniversary of MOTO GUZZI. |
