This is the emblem of VIGNALE, a prestigious carrozzeria in Turin. In the early days of Ferrari's foundation, VIGNALE was responsible for many of its models. The models they worked on, such as the Ferrari 166 and 340MM, are characterized not only by the beauty of their form, but also by the elaborate, almost sculptural design of the details around the lights, air ducts, tail lamps, and other details.
The beautifully baked cloisonne surface and the elaborate construction of the crown are examples of "craftsmanship" that has been lost in modern times. |
