The first in the FIAT emblem pin collection series is of course the emblem that appeared in 1899, the year of FIAT's founding. Rather than an emblem, the design is reminiscent of an ancient document that describes the determination of the company's founding. Instead of the FIAT letters in the front, the official name, Fabbrica Italiana Di Automobili Torino, is engraved on the emblem. The "Di" (for "of" in English) can be seen in the official name, a feature unique to this first emblem. This first emblem was used on FIAT's memorable first car, the 3 1/2HP, in 1899, of which only six are known to have been produced.
