230mm(width)×285mm(length) Ferrari is just a small car manufacturer born in Maranello. However, the reason why Ferrari has received more praise and become a coveted presence than any other car manufacturer is because the many staff members who worked with Ferrari, including Enzo, spent particularly intense time together, single-mindedly pursuing the victory in front of them.
If you unravel each piece of history that has been accumulated in this way, you will find a fascinating story hidden there that never ceases to attract people. This time, we will introduce the story of one man who created the charm of Ferrari. His name is Luigi Chinetti. Even if you are not a Ferrari fan, you have probably heard of him at least once. He is also one of the important cast members who cannot be left out of the Ferrari legend.
Born in Milan in 1901, he got a job at Alfa Romeo, which had just been founded, at the age of 16. He soon showed his talent as a racing driver. In 1932 and 1934, he won the overall championship at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, driving an Alfa 8C. As the war intensified, he traveled to North America, where he would later demonstrate his skills as a dealer for Ferrari, which had been established by his friend from his time in Italy, Enzo.
In 1949, he competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a 166MM, driving for over 22 hours alone and winning the overall victory in Ferrari's first Le Mans race. Chinetti's North American Ferrari dealership was a great success, and he came to have a great influence on Ferrari. Many of Ferrari's famous cars were created with Chinetti's advice. The "California Spider" is one of them. The nickname "DAYTONA" given to the 365GT/4 was also his idea.
This is a framed postcard signed by LUIGI CHINETTI himself.
There are very few LUIGI CHINETTI signatures, and this one is carefully signed, creating a beautiful finish along with the illustration on the postcard.
